Using the Web to examine the evolution of the abortion debate in Australia 2006-2014

In this research we use hyperlink network and website text content for around 200 pro-choice and pro-life organisations to examine the evolution in the abortion debate in Australia between 2006 and 2014. The hyperlink network data allows us to assess the extent to which pro-choice and pro-life organisations link to each other on the web, and how this has changed over time. We also conduct content analysis of web pages, enabling us to identify changes in discourse used by each side of the abortion debate.
